Location Highlights
Romney offers access to outdoor recreation and small-town living in West Virginia’s Potomac Highlands. The city is about 45 miles from Cacapon Resort State Park and roughly 30 miles from Lost River State Park, giving travelers access to hiking, golf, and scenic mountain overlooks. Downtown Romney is one of the oldest municipalities in West Virginia, and the area sits within driving distance of the South Branch Potomac River for fishing, paddling, and waterfront views. Romney also provides a quieter setting while remaining about 2 hours from Washington, D.C., and near U.S. Route 50 for regional travel.
